"Food-raiser" fundraiser at Berry Patch Farms

Please join us on Saturday, September 19th, 2018 for a special "Food-raiser" fundraiser at Berry Patch Farms, from 8:00 - 2:00. They will be donating 20% of their proceeds that day to Brighton Shares The Harvest; we will be matching the amount raised and using the grand total, on a later date, to purchase wonderful fresh, organic Berry Patch produce for the clients of the Calvary Chapel Food Pantry. Calvary Chapel is one of Brighton's smallest food pantries, serving 35 - 45 families twice a month. They don't always qualify for some of the programs the bigger pantries participate in, so they don't always have healthy, fresh produce for their clients.

In addition to all of Berry Patch Farms' seasonal offerings, including tomatoes, peppers, the sweetest melons in town, and much more, you'll have a chance to learn about healthy alternatives to some of those fast-food/junk-food (we hate to "label", but ...) and generally unhealthy snacks that you may have lurking in your fridge and cupboard. Fresh fruits and vegetables are always a smart choice, and you may pick up some ideas you hadn't thought of before. We guarantee your family will approve!

Some of our Board members and volunteers will be there and would love to have a chance to visit with you. We hope you'll come out to do some shopping and help Berry Patch support our mission of putting more fresh produce on more tables in Brighton, and in this case, helping some families that need help in doing just that.
