Everybody should have access to affordable, fresh, healthy, locally grown food.
Food grown by commercial farmers, community gardeners, or backyard
gardeners should never go to waste.
Low-income residents should have access to garden space and the tools and education to grow some of their own food.
We educate, enable, and encourage residents to grow food for their families or to “Plant A Row For The Hungry”, by providing seeds, seedlings, tools, garden classes, and information about how to grow and where to donate produce.
We have a network of community and backyard gardeners, and we are part of the Adams County Community Gardens Co-op and Produce for Pantries.
How We Pay For It
We are a 501(c)(3) federal tax exempt Nonprofit Corporation. We raise funds through Board member donations, partner purchase programs, Goodsearch, selling King Soopers Neighborhood Reward cards, and other community fundraising activities throughout the year.
Voted Brighton Chamber of Commerce Nonprofit of the Year, 2011
